About the game

Snake Puzzle is a cosy garden puzzle game with 250 solution-verified levels across five gardens. Slide a little snake from its starting tile, fill every playable square exactly once, and reach the flower last. Each move travels to the next border or obstacle, so choosing where to turn is the challenge. Later gardens add keys, gates and direction tiles.

Play with touch, mouse or keyboard in portrait, landscape or desktop layouts. Earn petals, collect stars, and customise the game with nine snakes, six headwear choices, five tile styles and five gardens. Undo costs 5 petals, hints cost 10, and retries are free. Progress and purchases are saved locally on the device; the game has no accounts or real-money purchases.

The player supports 20 languages: English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Polish, Latvian, Estonian, Swedish, Norwegian Bokmål, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, Turkish, Dutch, French, Italian, Korean and Vietnamese. The included Level Studio uses English.

The source package includes editable JavaScript and Canvas 2D code, all 250 campaign levels, artwork, procedural audio, local fonts, build scripts, licence notices and an offline play/index.html that opens directly in a modern browser. No server is needed for the supplied offline game. The static web build uses WebP images and content-hashed assets for caching.

The built-in Level Studio/admin editor supports 3×3 to 9×9 grids, route drawing, tiles, snake and flower placement, keys, gates and arrows, undo/redo, JSON import/export and test play. A worker checks the complete full-slide solution; unverified or unsolvable levels cannot be saved or exported as playable levels. Studio drafts and campaign overrides are local to the browser.

Source price: US$1,300 for an exclusive commercial source licence to one buyer, under the full terms shown before checkout. Vembon may retain its existing free demo and portfolio screenshots. The package includes AI-generated artwork and separately licensed fonts; see the included disclosures. Future updates, hosting and custom development are not included. Download access lasts 14 days after payment confirmation; keep a local backup.

What is included

Editable game source; 250 verified levels across five gardens; English Level Studio/admin editor; 20 player languages; 9 snakes, 6 headwear choices, 5 tile styles and 5 garden styles; WebP artwork; local fonts; procedural music and effects; build scripts; offline play/index.html; licence, asset and font notices.

Build & hosting requirements

Open play/index.html directly for the included offline edition. Editable source development requires Node.js 20+. npm install, then npm start. npm run build creates a static HTTP/HTTPS site with SHA-256 asset filenames and cache headers. npm run build:portable rebuilds the self-contained HTML edition. No backend or CDN is required. iOS uses CSS Expand view.

Customise this game

Edit player translations, colours, economy, cosmetics and controls in the JavaScript/CSS source. Create and validate 3×3–9×9 puzzles in Level Studio, test them and export/import JSON. Change campaign.json for bundled releases. Replace Vembon branding for an independently branded game. Rebuild the static or offline edition after changes.

Documentation

README with installation, controls, source map and Level Studio guide; caching/build documentation; package integrity manifest; full source licence, terms, AI/asset disclosures, SIL font licences and MIT build-tool notice.

Support

The purchase includes the identified source version. Ongoing support, hosting, custom development and future updates are not included. Download access lasts 14 days after payment confirmation; keep a local backup. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

Assets & third-party notices

Four garden/mascot/popup illustrations were generated with OpenAI image generation. Outfit and Nunito Sans use SIL Open Font Licences; esbuild is MIT licensed and build-only. Music and sound effects are procedural. Seller logos must be replaced for independent branding. Full disclosures and licence texts are included.

How to play the demo

Swipe or drag from the snake’s head, tap along the same row or column, or use the arrow keys / WASD. One move slides all the way to a border or obstacle; turn only after the snake stops.

Cover every playable tile once and save the flower for the final tile. Collect a key before crossing its matching gate. Leave arrow tiles in the direction they point.

Undo reverses the previous complete slide for 5 petals. Hint highlights the next slide for 10 petals when a solution is found. Retry is free. Finish new levels to earn petals and stars, then spend petals in Dress up.

Settings pauses play and contains music, sound, language, how to play, Dress up and Home. Continue keeps the current attempt; returning Home and choosing Play starts that level fresh. On iPhone/iPad, Expand view uses a CSS overlay; swipe to reduce browser controls.

For the included Level Studio, hold L+A, tap the main-menu title eight times, or add ?editor=1 to the served game URL. Draw or edit a garden, validate the solution and use Test play. Save/Export requires a verified solution. The editor uses English.

Before you choose

What will I receive?

Check the individual listing for the source version, editable formats, playable build and documentation. The exact package and licence presented at checkout apply to your purchase.

Is this a subscription?

Vembon source licences are one-time purchases. Hosting, editor subscriptions or other tools may have separate costs; check the requirements for your game.

How long is my download available?

For new purchases, download access lasts 14 days after payment confirmation. Save the full package and keep a backup. This download deadline does not set the duration of the rights granted in your licence.

Can I change the artwork, languages or levels?

Check the licence and source details. Listings identify included editing tools and languages. A local game admin panel is different from a hosted administration service.

Where are the full terms and disclosures?

Open the licence options on the product page to read the full terms before checkout. Review the third-party notices and asset disclosures supplied with the package for your intended use.
